When are your ski resorts opening?
We plan to launch the 2020/2021 ski season on 5.12.2020 but everything depends on the snow conditions in Jasná. Please follow our website and social networks to stay up-to-date. OUR TIP: The winter season began in the Mölltaler Gletscher resort in Austria already on 2.10.
Will skiing be safe in today´s Coronavirus situation?
Ski resorts can open only if allowed by national authorities who guarantee that the situation is stable and skiers are safe. We have been following official regulations and restrictions carefully from the beginning, have introduced all necessary precautions and are ready to continue with them hoping that the situation will get better soon and our mountain resorts will come to life again.
What if I buy a Smart Season Pass and the season does not begin?
In this case, we will refund the full purchase price to the credit in the GOPASS account.
What if the season begins later due to COVID-19 and we cannot ski all winter long?
Nobody wishes this to happen. We really hope all adopted measures will help solve the situation with the COVID-19 illness, and popular tourist and ski resorts will come back to life again. But should mountain and ski resorts stay closed for preventative reasons during the 2020/21 winter season or be opened only for a part of the season, our clients will be compensated.
Will there be special restrictions regarding cableway transport?
Our resort has prepared a special COVID traffic light model that will be updated regularly to guarantee safe moments to all our clients. Face masks, safe distances and disinfection by using all means available are the key.
Will ski schools and après-ski bars be opened in winter?
Ski schools will be opened and follow all required precautions. Après-ski refreshment will be offered while adhering to strict hygiene standards. Social events will be limited based on the restrictions in force.
More details will be available soon.
WHERE CAN I BUY A SKIPASS IN THE RESORT?
As for the northern part of the ski resort, skipasses are for sale at ticket offices at Záhradky, Biela Púť, Lúčky and at a new ticket office next to HAPPY END. As for the southern part of the resort, there is a ticket office in the locality of Krupová. The ticket office in the locality of Srdiečko will be open until the cable car Krupová – Kosodrevina is launched. After this date, skipasses will be sold only in the locality of Krupová.
You can also buy tickets in advance online via www.gopass.sk. It´s more convenient and you don´t have to queue at ticket offices. Just buy and go straight to turnstiles.
HOW TO AVOID BUYING AN INVALID TICKET?
Always buy skipasses at a ticket office or online via www.gopass.sk. Never buy tickets from another person offering them at a car park, office ticket or on a ski slope. You can avoid unpleasant situations, e.g. skipass blocking.
HOW TO AVOID SKIPASS BLOCKING?
Skipasses are non-transferable. When you first time pass through a turnstile, the system will scan your face and match it to your skipass. Therefore do not exchange skipasses with each other (husband – wife, mother – daughter, father – son, etc.). In case of such exchange your ticket will be blocked. You are not allowed to a cable car, if your ticket has been blocked.
HOW TO ENJOY SAFE SKIING?
We recommend that most of skiers go skiing exclusively to marked ski trails. Skiing off trails and in freeride zones is at their own risk, and is only intended to excellent skiers. We recommend that freeriders conclude Mountain Rescue Insurance.
You should always make sure, which side of Mt Chopok you´re skiing on; otherwise you could get disoriented in case of unfavourable weather. You should always keep a ski resort map which can help you to easier determine your location on the ski slope.
WHAT KIND OF WEATHER IS SUITABLE FOR SKIING DURING THE DAY?
