SKI MUSEUM

The exposition of the SKI MUSEUM in Tatranská Lomnica is focused on the origin and development of winter sports in the High Tatras from the very beginning to 1945. By means of 19 information boards, visitors can learn interesting information about the beginnings of skiing, ice skating, curling, climbing, sledging and bobsleighing in the High Tatras. Every thematic tour contains exhibits and texts which offer a complete picture about the past of the High Tatras.

3.07 metre-long skis from 1885 and a collection of old bobsleighs, which were used on bobsleigh tracks in the Tatras in the past, count to the biggest attractions of the museum. Men get attracted by a ski, ski pole and ski boot workshop, ladies can see what people used to wear or how it looked like in mountain chalets in the past.
