A celebration of ice returns to the High Tatras – on 17th and 18th January 2026, Hrebienok in the High Tatras will once again host the 12th edition of the traditional TATRY ICE MASTER event. Over two days, ice sculptors from ten countries will bring 50 tonnes of ice to life, transforming it into 35 unique ice sculptures.
Talented artists will work with 50 tonnes of ice to create impressive sculptures inspired by selected themes and motifs. As the night falls, sculptures made during the day will be beautifully illuminated to enhance their design and visual impact. Some sculptures will be carved near the funicular station building, while others will be displayed under the second dome-shaped cover next to the Tatra Temple of Ice. Sculptures placed under the cover – the Gallery of Ice Masters – will remain on display until the end of the winter season, or until the end of April 2026. The outdoor sculptures will remain on site until weather conditions naturally melt them.
Vote for the best team from ten countries! With any purchase at our facilities or ticket offices, you’ll receive a voting slip. Fill it in and throw it into the voting box located on the main stage at Hrebienok. By voting, you’ll also be entered into a prize draw with attractive prizes to win!
Tatry Ice Master will be accompanied by a varied supporting programme. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy games, competitions with prizes and a spectacular fire-and-ice show performed by one of the competition judges.
The GLADIATOR band will be the headliner on Saturday, 17th January, and popular singer and hitmaker MICHAL DAVID will be the main evening guest performer on Sunday, 18th January, joined by Lukáš Adamec. In addition, you can also look forward to performances by SuperStar winner Barbora Piešová, the Padák band and the Red Bang Band during the day. Between the concerts, DJ Thobias will keep the atmosphere lively, and the entire event will be presented by Marcel Forgáč.

COMPETING TEAMS
Meet the 10 teams from around the world presenting the art of ice carving.
The 12th edition of Tatry Ice Master will welcome 10 teams who will be creating breathtaking sculptures from 50 tonnes of ice over two days. Each team prepares an alternative design for favourable but also challenging weather conditions. Sculptors traditionally present highly creative concepts, and this year they will work with two themes. The teams are evaluated by a professional jury that considers the technical difficulty, the level of detail, the height and the width of individual sculptures, the materials used and many other aspects. In the days leading up to the event, we will gradually introduce each of the ten teams competing for the international Tatry Ice Master title.
