20/12/2025 / OPENING OF THE WINTER SKI SEASON IN TATRANSKÁ LOMNICA
The winter season in Tatranská Lomnica starts on Saturday, 20 December 2025. The following lifts will be in operation: Buková Hora cable car, Junior lift, and the 6-seat chairlift from Tatranská Lomnica to Štart. Open ski slopes: Štart West (1), Štart East (2), Buková Hora West (11), Buková Hora East (9) – limited operation, Grand Slnečná (8), and Javorová cesta.
10/12/2025 / POSTPONEMENT OF THE SKI SEASON OPENING – TATRANSKÁ LOMNICA
The start of the winter season in Tatranská Lomnica is postponed. The date 13 December will mark only the opening of the resort and cable cars after autumn maintenance; ski slopes will remain closed. We hope to bring better news next week. Guests who purchased ski passes valid from 13 December will be contacted by email with available options.
06/12/2025 / OPENING OF THE WINTER SEASON AND A NEW CABLE CAR AT ŠTRBSKÉ PLESO
At Štrbské Pleso, we ceremonially launched the winter season and introduced a new 8-seat chairlift to Medvedia kopa. This represents the largest investment in the past 15 years, bringing faster transport, higher capacity, and significantly greater comfort for skiers. The modern technology with a Pininfarina design was built in record time and will strengthen the entire ski area.
27/11/2025 / BEN STILLER IN THE TATRAS
Ben Stiller visited the High Tatras, where he explored locations for his upcoming film planned for 2027. Tatry Mountain Resorts provided a complete tour of locations such as Sliezsky dom and Popradské pleso and also declared its readiness to become a production partner. The region has a real chance to become an official film location, which would bring significant international attention.
13/11/2025 / OPENING OF THE TATRA ICE DOME – THEME REVEALED
A new edition of the Tatra Ice Dome was opened at Hrebienok in the High Tatras. This 13th edition pays tribute to two popes — Francis (†2025) and his successor Leo XIV. The monumental ice structure is inspired by the iconic Basilica of St. John Lateran in Rome and is made of 225 tons of ice and 1,800 ice blocks. It was created under the leadership of sculptor Adam Bakoš and a team of 20 carvers from four countries. Attractions include an ice façade, statues of apostles, a papal throne, portraits of six popes, and other artistic details. The Ice Dome is open from 14 November 2025 until 19 April 2026, admission is free.

Gopass has launched the presale of ski passes for the entire winter season in resorts in Slovakia, Czechia, Poland, and Austria. Skiers can secure better prices, avoid queues at ticket offices, and receive cashback in the form of goX, which can be used for services in the resorts. Introductory prices are available for all TMR resorts, allowing guests to prepare for the season in advance and at a lower cost.
